BIO’OCC: Biotherapies and Bioproduction in Occitanie

Bio’Occ is a project funded by the French government as part of the France 2030 plan. This ambitious regional initiative aims to attract, train, and retain the talent and players of tomorrow by developing specialized training programs in the field of biotherapies and bioproduction. In a context where this sector is experiencing growing development in Occitanie, but also on a national scale, Bio'Occ responds to a specific demand from manufacturers facing recruitment challenges. By creating a dynamic and innovative ecosystem, this project promises to transform the biotechnology landscape in the region, while supporting the growth of businesses and preparing the professionals of tomorrow to meet future challenges. This project has received government funding managed by the National Research Agency Research France 2030, reference ANR-23-CMAS-0004. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vlrrsc56bCA A project structured around four areas to meet the objectives of the CMA call for proposals. Adapt existing training programs: Improve their relevance to needs by strengthening partnerships with industry and setting up teaching platforms. Supplement existing training programs: Meet specific skills needs in initial and continuing training. Develop forecasting tools: Better target changing needs and better adapt continuing training programs. Roll out communication initiatives: Improve the attractiveness of the professions and the social acceptability of biotherapies. The training courses concerned at the University of Montpellier.
