30th Pride March
This event is over!
On June 15, the "March of Pride" will set off from the Promenade Peyrou in Montpellier for its 30th edition. The event, organized by the " Fierté montpellier pride " association, aims to give visibility to LGBTQIA+ people and fight for their rights.
As the 1st university to sign the L'autre Cercle Charter, the University of Montpellier is once again taking part in this year's event, alongside the Narvalum student association.
The University of Montpellier and Narvalum look forward to seeing you from 2pm on the Promenade du Peyrou in Montpellier on Saturday June 15 for the 30th edition of #PrideMontpellier 2024.
Program in two parts:
June 14, 2024 :
- Village associatif from 2 p.m.
- Apéro solidaire from 7pm
June 15, 2024 :
- Village associatif from 2 p.m.
- March and floats start at 4 p.m.
- Pride aperitif and concert at 7 p.m.
On June 15, members of the Narval-UM association will be manning a stand in the village. Goodies will be distributed.
For the start of the walk, on the same day, the University of Montpellier, in collaboration with the Narval-UM association, will have a float decorated on the theme of 20 thousand leagues under the sea.
The NARVAL-UM association is a New Association Regrouping LGBT+ Values and Friendships within the University of Montpellier. Its mission is to:
- Culture, by encouraging and promoting cultural projects of all kinds.
- Listening to and advising LGBT+ people, combating all forms of discrimination, rejection and isolation (future office at the University).
- Prevention, by raising awareness of issues related to sexuality, sexual health and gender.
