"Supporting varietal innovation in Occitania in a context of climate change and reduced inputs".
This event is over!
The Défi Clé Vinid'Occ, a research program funded by the Occitanie Region and supported by the University of Montpellier, is organizing its first regional symposium. Under the theme "Accompagner l'Innovation Variétale en Occitanie dans un contexte de Changement Climatique et de Réduction des Intrants" (Supporting Varietal Innovation in Occitania in a Context of Climate Change and Reduced Inputs), this event marks a significant milestone in the field of wine research, and constitutes a first mid-term restitution of the work carried out within the framework of the Défi Clé Vinid'Occ.
The day will be devoted to lectures and debates, exploring topics ranging from vine genetics to the introduction into winegrowing systems of varieties resistant to disease or potentially better adapted to climate change, and their vinification, as well as the adoption of wines made from these varieties by consumers. The day will cover the major issues facing the regional wine industry, with a particular focus on making lectures accessible to a wide audience and highlighting our young researchers.
