Innovation After-Work Event: The Role of the Region in the National Innovation Strategy

On July 1, 2026, the University Innovation Hub (PUI) will host the 7th edition of its Innovation After-Work event, a now-unmissable gathering that fosters dialogue among students, scientists, and stakeholders from the socio-economic sector.

The event will highlight the Montpellier PUI’s initiatives related to major national priorities in the area of innovation and will present its midterm review, which offers new perspectives.

A roundtable discussion on the role of local regions in the national innovation strategy will bring together Gaspard Lépine, project manager for “University Innovation Hubs” atINRAE, Franck Mouthon, executive director ofthe Agency for Health Research s Programs atINSERM, and Christian Assaf, vice president for economic development and regional attractiveness at Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole.

Seven “Innovation Awards” will be presented to recognize new, innovative projects from the laboratories of theUM , and partners of the I-SITE Excellence Program, one of which will be awarded by Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole.
