Data Anonymization and Pseudonymization: Legal Framework

Although often confused, anonymization and pseudonymization are two techniques used to protect personal data collected in the course of research activities.

The purpose of this presentation will be, on the one hand, to outline the legal framework for these two concepts, with particular attention to the most recent case law, and, on the other hand, to provide some practical tools and tips for effectively anonymizing or pseudonymizing data.
