The Science Bar is kicking off its new season with a science and society topic that is more relevant than ever. Rich and varied, it offers eight evenings open to all, which can be viewed again as replays.
The first Science Bar will take place on Thursday, January 28 at 7 p.m. on the theme: "How has COVID-19 changed your life? Adaptations, transitions, changes."
COVID-19: a pandemic that calls everything into question
Nothing is the same as it used to be. The global coronavirus health crisis has caused almost total upheaval, and the acute crisis we are currently experiencing is a major shock to society.
Lockdown, curfew, restrictions on activities, teleworking, childcare... The emergence and spread of COVID-19 in our lives has required adaptations, generated transitions, and caused profound changes. The social impacts are numerous and multifaceted, and some will likely be long-lasting.
To discuss this topic, four multidisciplinary experts will come together and answer questions live from the online audience:
- Marie-Christine Lichtle, Director of Montpellier Management – University of Montpellier. Lecturer and researcher at the Montpellier Research Management ( MRM) Laboratory. University professor in management sciences (specializing in marketing), specializing in social marketing, communication, and consumer behavior.
- Salim Mokaddem, philosopher, Professor Interdisciplinary Laboratory for Research Didactics, Education, and Training (LIRDEF) – University of Montpellier – Paul Valéry Montpellier 3 University. Professor of philosophy. Member of the French Philosophical Society.
- Stéphane Raffard, Doctor of Psychology, Professor of Cognitive Psychopathology and Neuropsychology at Paul Valéry Montpellier 3 University. Clinical psychologist at Montpellier University Hospital in adult psychiatry.
- Bertrand Vidal, sociologist, researcher at the Laboratory for Interdisciplinary Studies on Reality and Social Imaginaries (LEIRIS). Senior lecturer at Paul Valéry Montpellier 3 University.
