Renewable Heat: Innovation Priorities for Addressing the Challenges of Decarbonization

Accelerating and expanding the use of renewable heat is key to addressing one of the greatest challenges of decarbonization—whether in homes, offices, or industry, where heating accounts for the majority of energy needs. By making a massive investment in renewable heat, alongside electrification, we are strengthening our region’s energy independence and resilience.

To successfully make this transition, it is essential to innovate in order to make heat storage solutions and facility management even more competitive compared to fossil fuels.

AD’OCC, a partner of the University Innovation Cluster, is organizing a special event on June 26 dedicated to renewable heat and innovations in this field, aimed at addressing the challenges of decarbonization. On this occasion, laboratories and startups from Occitanie committed to the energy transition will present their innovative solutions and discuss the major challenges facing the sector: the integration of renewable heat technologies, thermal storage, and the opportunities offered by various existing technologies.
