The Society for Fundamental and Applied Ecotoxicology (SEFA) aims to bring together the scientific community and managers in France who are committed to understanding toxic pressures on the environment in order to assess, monitor, and manage their impact on ecosystems. This understanding is most often based on the characterization of exposures and induced effects in organisms at different scales of observation. It relies on the development and use of methods, tools, or biological indicators.
The next SEFA conference will take place on June 27 and 28, 2018, in Montpellier. These meetings will cover various topics related to ecotoxicology, such as the fate of contaminants (chemical, biological, and physical) in the environment, the impacts of these stresses on the health of organisms, and the functioning of ecosystems. This year, one half-day of the two-day conference will be devoted specifically to emerging contaminants, their occurrence, fate, and effects. The conference is intended to be a forum for interdisciplinary exchange and mutual enrichment, open to all sectors of activity—research, industry, government, education, and environmental management.
The deadline for submitting abstracts for oral presentations is May 7, 2018, and for posters is May 31, 2018.
The deadline to register for the banquet is May 20, 2018.
