This event has passed!

Faculty of Law and Political Science, Lecture Hall C
This symposium aims to address the issue of the difficulties faced by agricultural businesses. It brings together the Private Law Laboratory at the University of Montpellier, the Labex Entrepreneurship and the University of Montpellier.
Agricultural activity has many specific characteristics, particularly in terms of the time required to complete an animal or plant life cycle, and the structure of debt. As a result, legislators and practitioners have had to adapt the law on companies in difficulty to these particularities.
A novel and crucial topic
The rules applicable to agricultural businesses in difficulty remain relatively unknown to academics, legal professionals, and even those working in the agricultural sector itself. To date, no comprehensive academic work has been carried out in this field since 1994. Only a few practitioners are truly specialized in this area. The agricultural community is largely unaware of the existence of preventive procedures.
By filling this gap, this conference responds to a real need and brings the issue of difficulties faced by agricultural businesses to the forefront.
