The ongoing ecological and social crises call for profound and systemic changes in our societies. In this context, higher education has a dual role: to educate our students about ecological and social issues and to prepare them, as they enter the workforce, for the various transitions that need to be implemented.

The CEESES 2026 conference, to be held at the Faculty of Education in Montpellier from July 6 to 10, 2026, aims to address the challenges of teaching socio-ecological issues in higher education through professional development, the sharing of experiences, and networking.

This conference aims to provide the community of teachers and researchers with an opportunity to get to know one another better and with the tools to deliver a solid and dynamic education that is up to the challenges we face.
