For over 1,000 years, from 2500 to 1200 BC, from the 5th to the 20th dynasties, the Egyptians dispatched expeditions to the land of Punt to procure aromatics, in particular myrrh(Commiphora myrrha). But why? And, above all, where is this region, which Egyptologists struggle to locate on a map?
