Euro-Mediterranean Conference on Wastewater Reuse (REUSE EUROMED 2024)

Water needs are evolving around the Mediterranean and in Europe, impacted by climate change. Unconventional" wastewater, crucial and often under-exploited, requires careful reuse because of its environmental implications.

With a multi-disciplinary and multi-actor vision, the REUSE EUROMED 2024 conference , co-organized by AFEID,INRAE 's Réseau REUSE and the EACC Chair, aims to foster exchanges and create a meeting place for :

•  share feedback (successes and failures) on methodological approaches to designing, implementing and evaluating REUSE projects;
• identify the main socio-economic, regulatory, scientific, technical and technological obstacles to all available tools;
• help structure future R&I projects to better respond to needs in the field;
• create new opportunities for collaboration and networking.

The main topics to be discussed are :

• REUSE governance;
• REUSE for agriculture;
• health and environmental risks ;
• water treatment processes for REUSE ;
• feedback from local authorities.

The program includes a variety of exchange formats: plenary and thematic presentations, round tables, pitches for innovative solutions (company stands), posters with a trophy for the best poster and, on request, B2B meetings between REUSE players.
