Conference: “Inflation: Are We Heading Toward a Lasting Resurgence of Inflation?” – Les Rendez-vous de l’Eco

As part of the “Rendez-vous de l’Eco” series, the Faculty of Economics, in partnership with Midi Libre, is organizing a conference on the topic: “Inflation: Are We Heading Toward a Lasting Resurgence of Inflation?”

“The resurgence of inflation observed in France and around the world has been fueled by recent health and geopolitical disruptions. It is further exacerbated by the consequences of the climate transition and its impact on the scarcity and rising cost of raw materials, as well as by the supply chain disruptions resulting from the health crisis. Under these circumstances, is the resurgence of inflation cyclical in nature, or, on the contrary, is it taking on a more structural character? ”
To address this question, our speaker, Bruno CABRILLAC, Deputy Director General for Statistics, Research, and International Affairs at the Banque de France, will analyze the causes of current inflation and the short- and medium-term outlook.”
