As part of the "Rendez-vous de l'Eco" series, the Faculty of Economics, in partnership with Midi Libre, is organizing a conference on the theme: "Inflation, are we heading for a sustainable return to inflation?"

"The return of inflation in France and around the world has been fuelled by recent health and geopolitical disruptions. It has been further aggravated by the consequences of the climate transition and its impact on the scarcity and rising cost of raw materials, as well as by the disruption to supply chains caused by the health crisis. In these conditions, is the return of inflation a cyclical phenomenon or, on the contrary, is it taking on a more structural character?"
To answer this question, our speaker, Bruno CABRILLAC, Deputy Director General of Statistics, Studies and International Affairs at the Banque de France, will analyze the causes of current inflation and the prospects for development in the short and medium term.

Presentation:

Olivier BISCAYE, Editorial Director, Midi Libre.

Speaker:

Bruno CABRILLAC, Deputy General Manager, Statistics, Research and International Affairs, Banque de France.
