—
Science and intervention research have established that non-pharmacological interventions (NPIs) are essential solutions for preventing, treating, or curing health problems.
In prevention, they reduce the risk of illness and lead to lasting improvements in health behaviors. In treatment, they alleviate symptoms, improve overall health, and enhance quality of life. In therapy, they complement biological treatments. Studies show that they reduce costs associated with unplanned medical care and out-of-pocket expenses for patients.
This conference, held in Montpellier, offers the opportunity to:
- promote scientifically validated NMI;
- share evidence of the efficacy, safety, and cost-effectiveness of each NMP;
- discuss assessment methods;
- to better understand how they work;
- promote the improvement of professional practices;
- consider future training programs, certifications, and funding;
- to meet researchers and practitioners specializing in the field of NMI.
