A production created in partnership with the Rivesaltes Camp Memorial as part of an artist-in-residence program in May 2023

Opening remarks by Philippe Augé, President of the University of Montpellier.

Based on the testimony of Esther Senot, a survivor of the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp who is now 97 years old, this performance offers a sensitive and deeply human approach to the memory of the genocide. It paints a portrait of a free woman who, after enduring horror and absurdity, was able to transform her suffering into a source of vitality, without ever losing faith in humanity.

Much more than just a collection of lyrics, this eponymous show is the result of a rare and precious encounter between the memory of the unspeakable and artistic expression.

The show will be followed by a meet-and-greet with the cast.
The evening will conclude with a time of fellowship.

Open to the general public.
