Exhibition: “The Pencil Speaks”

Exhibition of comic book panels by Émilie Plateau.

A graduate of the Montpellier School of Fine Arts and currently in residence at theUM, Émilie Plateau is a comic book artist. As part of LGBT+ Phobia Awareness Week, she shares some of her most vibrant comic strips. With clear, minimalist drawings—brief moments of everyday life captured by the artist’s pencil—these are intimate, often humorous stories that challenge society’s views on homosexuality.

Starting May 17, discover Émilie Plateau’s works on the Art & Culture Department’s website.
