Thanks to funding from the Fondation de France and research supported by the Total Foundation, the exhibition “Zostera: Seagrass Meadows Under the Sea” has come to life. Come discover this temporary exhibition, which will introduce you to the extraordinary world of seagrass meadows—a flowering aquatic plant of which there are two species in France and in the Thau Lagoon, Eelgrass and Z. noltei ! These ecosystems, recognized by scientists as being of great importance, are indeed under threat worldwide, and it is essential that the public quickly become aware of their value and fragility in order to protect them and ensure their preservation for future generations. You will be introduced to the entire world of eelgrass beds—from their biology to their conservation, including all the services they provide to humans and nature in general.
