The morning session of this conference will be dedicated to Pierre Bertholon, who held the Languedoc Chair of Experimental Physics and was renowned in his time and throughout France as one of the leading physicists specializing in electricity. The afternoon session will feature several scientific presentations on current research in the field of electrostatics.

The event is organized by the “Alumni ONERA” association and the MIPS cluster at the University of Montpellier, in collaboration with the Academies of Sciences of Paris and Montpellier, under the patronage of the French National Commission for UNESCO, and in partnership with the media outlet “Co-Working Channel,” the “French Aeronautics and Astronautics Association,” the “History and Philosophy of Science” seminar in Montpellier, and the Université du Tiers-Temps in Montpellier.
