International Day of Women and Girls in Science

To mark the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the Women & Science Association is hosting an evening of film screenings and discussions.
Using a series of inspiring short films as a starting point, we will discuss the stereotypes that prevent girls from choosing a career in science, the reasons why they leave the field despite having pursued studies in scientific disciplines, and we will explore why most people can only name Marie Curie when asked to name a female scientist.
