Dreams and Nightmares" Fantasy Weekend (1st edition)

Short film screenings, encounters and performances will intersect over a weekend to address the theme of fantasy in art, in keeping with the theme chosen for this 2019 edition.

The festival also features a short film, poster and short story competition. The awards ceremony for each category will take place on Saturday May 4 at 10 a.m., followed by a screening of the short films. As a bonus, the posters will be exhibited and the short stories selected will be published in a collection.

The Dead West: Modern Western - Old settings, new challenges!

Filming of a modern western by students in the MMI department (MMI2 sandwich course and Licence Métiers du Numérique) in the famous settings of spaghetti westerns.

The project The Dead West aims to immerse students in vocational training MMI (Multimedia and Internet professions) in the reality of the audiovisual industry in Almeria. A unique opportunity to use the studios and settings that made the reputation of spaghetti westerns and Sergio Leone's films in particular (Tabernas desert and its protected natural area). For over a year, the teaching team has been building a training sequence at Oasys Mini-Hollywood Studios, where students shot a western-style short film from March 15 to 24, 2019.
