At a time when the right to abortion is being called into question in some US states, Poland and Hungary, and when in France a project to enshrine the right to abortion in the constitution has been voted by the Senate, the screening of the film L'événement will be an opportunity to recall what many women experienced before it was legalized.

France, 1963. Anne, a promising student, becomes pregnant. She decides to have an abortion, ready to do anything to control her body and her future. She sets out alone in a race against time, defying the law. Exams approach and her belly begins to round out.
