“Sustainable mobility in major cities: How can we accelerate progress?”
This event has already taken place!
New forms of mobility pose a major environmental challenge for local governments, especially given that reliance on cars remains high, particularly for daily commutes.
The roundtable discussion on November 9, organized by the Montpellier School of Economics in partnership with Midi Libre and titled “Sustainable Mobility in Metropolitan Areas: How Can We Accelerate It?”, will facilitate a dialogue among representatives of the three key pillars of this transition: local governments, engaged citizens, and innovative companies. The focus of the discussions will be on the supporting measures adopted by the Montpellier Metropolitan Area, offering a concrete overview of the actions taken to establish more environmentally friendly mobility in our regions.
Delving into the complex challenges of urban planning, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and improving quality of life, the discussion promises an in-depth exploration of the strategies being implemented to create more sustainable cities. This will be a true collective discussion, moderated by Olivier BISCAYE, Editor-in-Chief of Midi Libre.
