Reading Nights 2022: “We’ll See: Campus Life in 2020”
This event has already taken place!
Spotlight on the audio comic created during the UM artist residency.
Various venues (see the program).
In 2020, as university life was disrupted by the health crisis, Emilie Plateau, a comic book author and illustrator, and Ganaëlle Maury, a visual artist, were invited by the University of Montpellier to participate in an artist residency focused on the theme: “Campus Life in 2020.”
From their encounters and their sensitive, attentive, and sometimes amused observations, the audio comic book *On verra, la vie des campus en 2020* was born—a hybrid work combining drawings, sounds, and photographs that was published in December 2021.
The title of the comic book:
“We’ll see…”
A phrase that captures the unique and uncertain period the university community found itself facing from March 2020 to spring 2021.
“We’ll see…”—an intriguing phrase that catches our attention and draws us into this audio comic, inviting us to read and listen.
