The animated short film "Hunger Justifies the Means" is the result of a collaboration between students at the Objectif 3D animation school, comic book author PtiLuc, and actors from the GAARAnti research project funded by the ANR. It will be previewed at a meeting in Montpellier, which will bring together stakeholders and partners from the ANR GAARAnti project (from July 1 to July 3, 2019).

This project, coordinated by Philippe Münch (Géosciences Montpellier), Pierre-Olivier Antoine (ISEM), and Boris Marcaillou (GéoAzur), was born out of the desire of researchers from disciplines as varied as geophysics, field geologists, paleontologists, and geneticists to pool their expertise and validate the hypothesis that land bridges between South America and the Caribbean islands allowed the migration of giant rats (Amblyrhiza inundata), which are now extinct.
