  • Category: Interprofessional meetings
  • Dates : March 23, 2023
  • Opening hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Venue: University of Montpellier, Triolet campus, bat 31, amphi Peytavin - Place Eugène Bataillon, Montpellier

This one-day event will take place at two interconnected sites, one atUniversité Bretagne Sud (UBS) in Lorient, the other at Université de Montpellier.

These meetings will bring together managers of marine protected areas and players in the nautical industry, port managers, scientists and start-ups in the sector, to discuss :

  • What environmental initiatives have been put in place in the ports?
  • What are the players, practices and mobility around and from the port?
  • Port reception and careening facilities: where do we stand?
  • Anchorages and MELZs, relays for eco-navigation?

Marinas are key players in the ecological transition of the boating industry. Their initiatives and commitments to sustainable boating are multiplying, both through the implementation of programs, and in their role as conveyors of values to yachtsmen. Harbors are also home to a wide range of water sports operators, offering new practices and new media.

After a few tacks at anchor, these are also the scene of measures to protect the marine environment, through the introduction of new frameworks and new, less impactful technologies, as well as awareness-raising initiatives.
