Open science: an opportunity to rethink scientific publishing?
This event has passed!
The theme of the seminar is in line with recent developments in open access publishing: how are universities supporting the rollout of open science in order to meet both the wishes of their research communities and the policy recommendations set out in the national plan for open science? More specifically, what strategies are they implementing to support open access publishing and bibliodiversity, and with what resources?

Plenary presentations and feedback sessions will provide an overview of the issues and debates currently stirring scientific communities, while also highlighting initiatives taken by Professors researchers to place scientific publishing within a renewed framework for action. These issues and actions call into question the role of higher education institutions as political and strategic actors, in a dual dimension of site policy and national and international strategy.
As a research-intensive university, a major player in open science in the Montpellier academic community, and certified as a "data workshop," the University of Montpellier is participating in this seminar to contribute to the discussion on today's major challenges.
