NUMEV-MIPS Seminar: “Optimizing Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA): How Information Processing Has Helped for Over 20 Years”

In the field of orthopedics, surgeons began using computer-assisted devices (3D locators, robots, etc.) at the beginning of the century. In this presentation, we’ll take a look back in time and see how, 23 years later, we can truly make a breakthrough in the field by integrating mature technologies with genuine innovations. The FollowKnee project will serve as an example of how we are redefining every stage of knee implant surgery—from preoperative data acquisition to postoperative follow-up, including implant design and the intraoperative procedure.
