NUMEV-MIPS Seminar “Optimization of total knee arthroplasty (TKA): how information processing has been helping for over 20 years”

In the field of orthopedics, surgeons began using computer-assisted devices (3D locators, robots, etc.) at the beginning of the century. In this presentation, we will travel back in time and see how, 23 years later, we can truly make a breakthrough in the field by integrating mature technologies with genuine innovations. The FollowKnee project will serve as an example in which we redefine each step of knee implant surgery, from preoperative data acquisition to postoperative follow-up, including implant design and the intraoperative procedure.
