NUMEV-MIPS seminar "Optimizing total knee arthroplasty (TKA): how information processing has helped for over 20 years".

In the field of orthopedics, surgeons began using computer-aided devices (3D locators, robots, etc.) at the turn of the century. In this presentation, we will travel back in time and see how, 23 years later, we can really make a breakthrough in the field thanks to the integration of mature technologies combined with real innovations. The FollowKnee project will serve as an example, in which we redefine every stage of knee implant surgery, from preoperative data acquisition to postoperative follow-up, implant design and intraoperative procedure.
