Raising Awareness of Research Data Law
This event has already taken place!
The UM’s Open Science and Research Support Team is continuing its series of webinars on open science!
These webinars cover a variety of topics related to open science, scientific publications, research data, and digital identifiers.
They are held every other Tuesday, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., and include a presentation (lasting 20 to 40 minutes) followed by a discussion.
The webinar on April 1, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., will focus on the topic “Raising Awareness of Research Data Law.”
With the rise of open science and the growing acceptance of the principle of open data, research data is increasingly becoming a subject of law. Indeed, it is governed by a range of European and national regulations and legal frameworks that address its security, preservation, accessibility, dissemination, and use, among other aspects.
The webinar will examine this complex legislative framework and discuss its impact on research data governance.
