Geosciences Montpellier celebrates its 10th anniversary!

This day, open to all, will be devoted to an overview of activities, with some examples of Geosciences Montpellier's scientific successes presented by members of the laboratory.
The program includes several lectures:

  • Subduction as the end or the beginning of a story? By Serge Lallemand (Géosciences Montpellier) ;
  • Could a magnitude 9 earthquake hit the Himalayan range? By Romain Le Roux-Mallouf (former doctoral student at Géosciences Montpellier) ;
  • Coastline instabilities along sandy coastlines: what's new on the beach? By Frédéric Bouchette (Géosciences Montpellier) ;
  • New tools for the geosciences, by Thierry Poidras (Géosciences Montpellier);
  • The earth's mantle: a complex engine, by Andréa Tommasi (Géosciences Montpellier) ;
  • What future for georesources? By Michel Lopez (Géosciences Montpellier)

To round off the day, Géosciences is pleased to present a lecture by Mathilde Cannat (IPGP), Director of Research and CNRS silver medalist, on ocean ridges.
