Screening / Debate / Exhibition evening
Monday, February 20, 2017 at 7pm, Maison des Etudiants Aimé Schoenig Richter.
All public - Free admission

Description :

This evening, which will combine a screening of short film extracts, a debate and an exhibition of scientific images, aims to explore the relationship between two fields that may seem far apart, but which are particularly complementary: Art and Science.
In the first part, two visual sequences lasting around 45 minutes will be shown. The first will provide an overview of issues relating to counting, symmetry and scale, while the second will be devoted to questions of experience and process. The screening will be followed by a discussion, accompanied by a visit to an exhibition created using scientific and artistic images from the COSA group. A convivial aperitif will round off the evening.
The COSA group was created by the Institut Charles Gerhardt Montpellier (ICGM), the Institut d'Electronique et des Systèmes (IES), the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Montpellier (ENSAM) and the Ecole Supérieure des Beaux Arts Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole (ESBAMA), to reflect on and experiment with Research, Science and Art, with a view to stimulating joint projects at the crossroads of these themes within their respective structures.
