12 doctoral contracts, 6 multidisciplinary projects: the IDIL program's 2025 thesis offers are now open

Open since April 8, 2025, the thesis opportunities offered by the IDIL Graduate Program at the University of Montpellier provide access to 12 doctoral contracts spread across six multidisciplinary research projects. These "mirror projects" combine two distinct disciplinary theses within the same structure, offering a genuine platform for scientific and institutional innovation.

Each IDIL doctoral contract offers guaranteed funding for three years, providing doctoral students with a stable environment and favorable conditions for conducting ambitious research. The program has a strong multidisciplinary focus, encouraging the cross-pollination of approaches, methods, and skills: research is designed to be collaborative and open.  Finally, doctoral students evolve within an extended academic community, bringing together the UFRs, schools, and institutes of the University of Montpellier, as well as major national organizations such as the CNRS, CIRAD, and Inserm.

Each of these six projects is structured to enable collaborative work at the interface of two disciplinary fields. Among them:

  • VEBIOCOL: design of a bio-based encapsulation vector for the controlled release of molecules in the colon.
  • POLLUNOCT: study of the impact of anthropogenic light pollution on biological rhythms.
  • HAPTIMED: digital twin of haptic perception, applied to healthcare and education.
  • OPTIMA: optimization of RNA modifications for targeted gene expression and RNA-based therapies.
  • BIOREACH: design of remotely accessible cellular bioelectronic systems for autonomous biomedical solutions.
  • CHIRARCHEOMS: study of collagen chirality using mass spectrometry to explore protein aging in archaeology.
