The 5th edition of Sud de sciences, the science film festival!
Following a preview screening on November 16, the Sud de Sciences Festival will offer the general public a unique opportunity to watch feature-length science films from November 23 to 27, followed by discussions with researchers.

The "Sud de sciences" Festival in a Nutshell
Sud de sciences is rooted in the local research community, which is both rich and diverse, reflecting the 6,000 researchers in Montpellier’s scientific community. The films presented were recently produced and selected by CIRAD, CNRS, INRAE, INSERM, and IRD, all based in and around Montpellier. This science film festival reflects a strong shared commitment: to strengthen the relationship between science and society by offering the general public free screenings of science films, followed by discussions with researchers.
This fifth edition features a rich program centered on two categories of films in competition: a professional category and a selection of “student films.” Each screening allows the audience to freely attend the showing of a short film directed by students and a feature-length film from the professional category.
This edition will take place in three cities: Clapiers, Montpellier, and Sète. It is part of the "Month of the Documentary" program, a national event launched by the Ministry of Culture and Communication.
