Call for Applications | Nutrition and Food Systems (FOODS) Collaborative Doctoral Platform

TheCollaborative Doctoral Platform on Nutrition and Food Systems (FOODS), developed by the University of Montpellier, is seeking 4 to 6 doctoral students to form a second cohort of international doctoral students and participate in field schools in 2025. One-week training sessions will be organized in collaboration with partner universities in France and abroad. The University of Montpellier will cover the costs of travel and participation in training sessions for the doctoral students selected during the application process.

Developed by the University of Montpellier (UM) and led by Karen Lambert-Cordillac, an associate professor in the School of Pharmacy and a researcher at the PhYMEDEXP laboratory, in collaboration with the University of Pretoria (UP), the UM-UP collaborative doctoral training platform aims to train the next generation of scientists in the ISITE themes: Feed-Heal-Protect, in order to address the challenges of open science and open education in the field of nutrition and food systems. It is funded by the ANR under the France 2030 program and managed by the Structural Programs Directorate within the International Support and Attractiveness Department as part of the IdéEs program.

“How food systems can play a crucial role in improving public health—particularly for the most vulnerable populations—and in preventing the global rise in chronic diseases.”
