On June 17, the University of Montpellier held its doctoral graduation ceremony. Of the 553 graduates for the year 2023, 236 came to receive their diplomas in person on the stage of the Corum... Before marching, with fanfare, through the streets of the city to the Jardin des Plantes for an evening to which family and friends were invited. A look back in pictures.
The wait
The doctoral graduation ceremony began at 4pm, but there were already plenty of young PhDs in the Corum hall at 2pm. This was an opportunity to share a coffee with former colleagues, or to chat with one's thesis director.
The ceremony
236 young doctors and their families attended the graduation ceremony. For almost 3 hours, speeches and photo sessions were interspersed with a few skits put on by Collecthihihif!
