Hats off to the doctors!
On June 17, the doctoral graduation ceremony was held at the University of Montpellier. Of the 553 graduates of the class of 2023, 236 young doctors came to receive their diplomas in person on the stage of the Corum… Before parading, to the sound of fanfare, through the city streets and heading to the Jardin des Plantes for an evening celebration attended by family and friends. A look back in pictures.
The Wait
The doctoral graduation ceremony was set to begin at 4:00 p.m., but by 2:00 p.m. many of the new doctoral graduates were already gathered in the Corum lobby. It was a chance to have a coffee with former colleagues or catch up with their thesis advisors.

The fashion show
After leaving the Corum, the doctors and the public joined together in a large, festive procession that wound its way from the Esplanade Charles de Gaulle to the Jardin des Plantes, passing through the Place de la Comédie and the Arc de Triomphe. All to the sound of a marching band.
