Annual Conference on Environmental Health: “Water and Health: Global Challenges”

Every year, the Montpellier-Nîmes Faculty of Medicine invites the public to attend its annual conference on environmental health. Open to everyone, free of charge, and requiring no registration, the event will take place on Thursday, September 26, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the faculty’s historic building. This event concludes a full day of training dedicated to the impact of the environment on health, designed for future general practitioners in the region.

An important and timely topic

This year’s theme will focus on “Water and Health: Global Challenges.” It will explore the vital importance of water for our health and for the functioning of our societies. Although water is a source of life, it can also pose a danger if its quality is inadequate, raising serious concerns for the future.

This lecture will be led by Professor Eric Servat, Director of the UNESCO International Centre in Montpellier, Research Director at the French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development (IRD), and Associate Professor at the University of Montpellier. Eric Servat is a recognized expert in the field of water management and its impact on health.
