Erika Burioli and Paul Antonio win ERC fellowships

Erika Burioli, a researcher in the Host-Pathogen-Environment Interactions laboratory, and Paul Antonio, a researcher in the Geosciences Montpellier laboratory, have been awarded prestigious ERC Starting Grants by the European Research Council. These grants are designed to "help ambitious young researchers launch their own projects, build their teams and pursue their best ideas".

Erika Burioli was awarded 1.5 million euros for her HYPERCAN project on transmissible mussel cancers. As for Paul Antonio, he was awarded 1.6 million euros for his UBEICH project, which aims to better understand the history of the Earth's inner core.
