Erika Burioli and Paul Antonio win ERC fellowships

Erika Burioli, a researcher in the Host-Pathogen-Environment Interactions laboratory, and Paul Antonio, a researcher in the Geosciences Montpellier laboratory, have won prestigious ERC Starting Grants from the European Research Council. These grants are designed to "help ambitious young researchers launch their own projects, build their teams and pursue their best ideas".

Erika Burioli was awarded 1.5 million euros for her HYPERCAN project on transmissible mussel cancers. As for Paul Antonio, he was awarded 1.6 million euros for his UBEICH project, aimed at better understanding the history of the Earth's inner core.
