Erika Burioli and Paul Antonio Awarded an ERC Grant
Erika Burioli, a researcher at the Host-Pathogen-Environment Interactions Laboratory, and Paul Antonio, a researcher at the Montpellier Geosciences Laboratory, are recipients of the European Research Council’s prestigious ERC Starting Grants. These grants areintended to “help ambitious young researchers launch their own projects, build their teams, and pursue their best ideas.”
Erika Burioli was therefore awarded 1.5 million euros for her HYPERCAN project, which focuses on transmissible cancers in mussels. As for Paul Antonio, he received 1.6 million euros for his UBEICH project, which aims to shed light on the history of the Earth’s inner core.
