Erika Burioli and Paul Antonio awarded ERC grants
Erika Burioli, researcher at the Host-Pathogen-Environment Interactions Laboratory, and Paul Antonio, researcher at the Montpellier Geosciences Laboratory, are recipients of the prestigious ERC Starting Grant from the European Research Council. These grants areintended to"help ambitious young researchers launch their own projects, build their teams, and pursue their best ideas."
Erika Burioli was awarded €1.5 million for her HYPERCAN project, which focuses on transmissible cancers in mussels. Paul Antonio received €1.6 million for his UBEICH project, which aims to improve our understanding of the history of the Earth's inner core.
