50 years of the Nîmes site

Created in 1972, the Nîmes site celebrated its 50th anniversary last year. Professor Michel Dauzat, who was still a student at the time of its creation, is regarded as the site's "builder". Accompanied by professors Pierre Costa and Jean-Emmanuel de la Coussaye, he spearheaded the rehabilitation of the site, which was completed in the early 2000s. Today, the University of Montpellier is inaugurating the extension to the Nîmes site, following several years of work. Prof. Lumbroso, together with Barbara Mengual, Administrative Director, and Stephan Doladille, Deputy Administrative Director, have met three objectives: extension, development and diversification of the Nîmes site. A new building, amphitheatre, classrooms and living space: everything has been redesigned to ensure the well-being of students and teaching staff alike.
