The Erasmus-Descartes Conference (CED) was launched in 2002 by the French Embassy in the Netherlands and the Dutch Embassy in France. The central theme of each edition differs depending on the European agenda and current developments in both countries. The theme of this year's edition is: "Food sovereignty – a driver for competitiveness, resilience, and sustainability." It will take place on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at the Boijmans van Beuningen Depot in Rotterdam.

The Young Talents event, which is part of the Erasmus-Descartes Conference (CED), brings together young talents and more than a hundred renowned French and Dutch experts from universities, research centers, ministries, and companies. The CED enables young talents and experts to debate and work together to find solutions for the future and strengthen cooperation on key societal issues. The debates, ideas, and questions raised by the young talents are intended to enrich the conference.

The deadline for submitting online applications is Sunday, September 14, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. CET. Don't miss this opportunity to make your voice heard and help shape the future of food in Europe!
