The Montpellier-Nîmes Faculty of Medicine and the Hérault Women Entrepreneurs Association (FCE34) celebrate International Women's Rights Day
On March 8, 2024, the dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Montpellier and the president of the association "femmes cheffes d'entreprise de l'Hérault" (women entrepreneurs of Hérault) are joining forces to celebrate International Women's Day. The conference will highlight the careers of several women with extraordinary profiles.

Women or exceptional trajectories: which shapes the other?
- Gwenaëlle Gervalais, content editor, editorial advisor, and member of FCE34, will host a conference at 7:30 p.m. reserved for journalists and students from the University of Montpellier on the careers of exceptional women, followed by readings.
- Caroline Fabre Rousseau, novelist, will shed light on the life of Glafira Ziegelmann, the first female medical intern and the first female candidate for a position as Professor of Medicine in Montpellier, accompanied by Vlada Liashchenko, a third-year medical student.
- Sandrine Bignoli, artisan saddler, founder of the Sellerie Générale workshop, and President of the Hérault delegation of the FCE, has found new markets to counter the seasonality of her primary business.
- Agathe Boidin, President of Pacific Pêche, who successfully transitioned from children's clothing to fishing enthusiasts, turned around and developed this brand, drawing on her extensive knowledge of mass retail.
- Astrid Herrero, Associate Professor of Digestive Surgery at Montpellier University Hospital, specializing in liver transplants, has launched an innovative and unique educational project to prepare students for the operating room.
- Stéphanie Nougaret, Associate Professor in Medical Imaging, recipient of a European Research Council grant, enabling her to create and fund a new research team at the Montpellier Cancer Institute, combining medical imaging and artificial intelligence for the early and optimized detection of gynecological cancers.
- Gérald Chanques, professor of anesthesiology and intensive care at Montpellier University Hospital and vice dean for general affairs, heritage, and campus life at the Montpellier-Nîmes Faculty of Medicine, and Simon de Charentenay, lawyer, lecturer, and founder of Axiocap, agreed to accompany them and share a moment of exchange.
