The national trade show for professionals in ecology and biodiversity, “AdNatura,” organized in partnership with the University of Montpellier
The second edition of“AdNatura”will take place on December 12–13 at the Arena Sud de France in Montpellier. This event is organized by the Salon de l’écologie (SdE) association in collaboration with the French Office for Biodiversity, the University of Montpellier, the Occitanie Region, the Occitanie Regional Agency for Biodiversity, the City of Montpellier, Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole, the Professional Union of Ecological Engineering, Fredon Occitanie, the IAE of Montpellier, and with the support of numerous partners. The theme of the 2023 edition will be “Biodiversity and Health: From One Health to Eco-Health.” Numerous researchers from UM will participate in the conferences and roundtables scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday.
The AdNaturaFair in a Nutshell
Since its inception in 2009, the Ecology Fair has become a highly anticipated event, recognized and appreciated for its interdisciplinary approach, which has given rise to numerous success stories. The year 2021 marked a new milestone in its evolution, as it became the National Trade Fair for Ecology and Biodiversity Professionals (AdNatura).
Engineers, technicians, researchers, and managers: professionals from all fields will come together for this event, which will bring together all organizations and stakeholders committed to the ecological transition and biodiversity conservation, both in the private and public sectors (companies, associations, public institutions, local governments, intermunicipal bodies, government agencies, etc.). Everyone will gather at the Professionals’ Forum, featuring exhibition booths, business meetings, and job networking events.
The 2023 edition, dedicated to“Biodiversity and Health: From One Health to Eco-Health”
Beyond being a shared heritage to preserve and a promising career path, biodiversity is a source of sustainable innovations for driving and achieving the ecological transition. As it does every year, AdNaturawill highlight a timely and forward-looking theme through its conferences, workshops, and roundtables, and for the 2023 edition, the chosen theme is the integrated “One Health,” “Ecohealth,” or “Planetary Health” approach. Developed over the past twenty years, this holistic concept of human, animal, plant, and ecosystem health encompasses health, environmental quality (water, air, etc.), climate, food and agriculture, and biodiversity.
The annual event showcasing careers and training programs in ecology and biodiversity
AdNaturaenables high school students, college students, recent graduates, and anyone looking to change careers to learn about jobs and employers in the ecology and biodiversity sector in France. Educational institutions offering programs leading to careers as technicians, engineers, and researchers will be represented in all their diversity and complementarity: BTS, professional bachelor’s degrees, engineering schools, master’s programs, doctoral programs…
