The National Trade Show for Ecology and Biodiversity Professionals, "AdNatura," organized in collaboration with the University of Montpellier
From October 27 to 29, the first edition of "AdNatura" will take place at the Montpellier Exhibition Center. This event is organized by the Salon de l'Écologie (SdE) association, with the sponsorship of the French Office for Biodiversity (OFB), in collaboration with the University of Montpellier, the Occitanie Region, the Occitanie Regional Biodiversity Agency, the City of Montpellier and Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole, as well as the Professional Union of Ecological Engineering (UPGE). For the 2022 edition, the fair will host the second Occitanie Regional Biodiversity Conference, dedicated this year to the theme of "living soils," as well as the Occitanie Regional Biodiversity Agency Forum.
The AdNatura trade show in a nutshell
Since its creation in 2009, after producing numerous success stories, this event has become recognized and appreciated for its cross-disciplinary approach. The year 2021 marked a new stage in its evolution, as it became the National Trade Show for Ecology and Biodiversity Professionals (AdNatura).
AdNatura brings together, introduces, and promotes all stakeholders in France's ecology and biodiversity sector in a Professionals' Forum featuring stands, conferences, round tables, workshops, business meetings, and job dating. Engineers, technicians, researchers, managers: all professional backgrounds will be represented at this event, which will bring together all the organizations and players involved in ecological transition and biodiversity conservation, both private and public (companies, associations, public institutions, local authorities, inter-municipal bodies, government departments, etc.). Beyond a shared heritage to be preserved and a professional sector with a promising future, biodiversity is a source of sustainable innovations for leading and succeeding in the ecological transition that will lead us to sustainable human development. To illustrate this, each year AdNatura will highlight a topical and forward-looking theme through its conferences, workshops, and round tables.
A 2022 edition dedicated to "living soils"
A key issue and objective of European policy since the adoption of the European Parliament's resolution of April 28, 2021 on its "farm to fork" strategy, soil preservation, protection, and restoration is a challenge for all stakeholders in the French professional ecology and biodiversity sector. Zero net artificialization, preservation of greenhouse gas sequestration and sustainable food production functions, conservation of their ecosystem support capacities, restoration of degraded soils, and study of their structure and functioning: all these hot topics, which are crucial for our common future, are covered in the rich program of conferences and round tables at the AdNatura trade show.
The annual event for careers and training in ecology and biodiversity
AdNatura enables all high school and college students, recent graduates, and individuals seeking career changes to learn about jobs and employers in the ecology and biodiversity sector in France at a career and training fair featuring booths, conferences, round tables, workshops, and job dating. Educational institutions offering training in technical, engineering, and research professions will be represented in all their diversity and complementarity: BTS (advanced vocational training certificates), professional bachelor's degrees, engineering schools, master's degrees, doctoral schools, and more.
AdNatura is open to everyone and accessible free of charge (no registration required, free admission).
