The Salon National des Professionnels de l'Écologie et de la Biodiversité "AdNatura" organized in collaboration with the University of Montpellier

From October 27 to 29, the first edition of "AdNatura" will be held at the Parc des Expositions in Montpellier. This event is organized by the Salon de l'Écologie (SdE) association, with the sponsorship of the Office Français de la Biodiversité (OFB), in collaboration with the University of Montpellier, the Occitanie Region, the Agence Régionale de la Biodiversité Occitanie, the City of Montpellier and Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole, as well as the Union Professionnelle du Génie Écologique (UPGE). For this 2022 edition, the show will host the second Assises Régionales de la Biodiversité Occitanie, devoted this year to the theme of "living soils", as well as the Forum of the Agence Régionale de la Biodiversité Occitanie.

AdNatura in a nutshell

Since its creation in 2009, the event has been recognized and appreciated for its cross-disciplinary approach, and has spawned a number of success stories. The year 2021 marked a new stage in its evolution, as it became the Salon National des Professionnels de l'Écologie et de la Biodiversité (AdNatura).

AdNatura brings together all the players in France's professional ecology and biodiversity sector at a Forum des Professionnels, featuring stands, conferences, round tables, workshops, business meetings and job dating. Engineers, technicians, researchers, managers: all professional cultures will be brought together for this event, which will bring together all the structures and players involved in the ecological transition and biodiversity conservation, both private and public (companies, associations, public establishments, local authorities, inter-municipalities, government departments, etc.). Biodiversity is more than just a common heritage to be conserved and a professional sector with a promising future; it is also the source of sustainable innovations to drive and succeed in the ecological transition that will lead us to sustainable human development. To illustrate this, each year AdNatura will highlight a topical and forward-looking theme through its conferences, workshops and round tables.

A 2022 edition dedicated to "living soil

A central issue and objective of European policy, from the adoption of the European Parliament's resolution of April 28, 2021 to its "farm to fork" strategy, soil preservation, protection and restoration is a challenge for all players in the French professional ecology and biodiversity sector. Zero net artificialization, preservation of soil functions for greenhouse gas sequestration and sustainable food production, conservation of soil's capacity to support ecosystems, restoration of degraded soils, and study of soil structure and functioning - these are all burning issues of the day and crucial to our common future, and they will be explored in the rich program of conferences and round tables at the AdNatura show.

The annual event for careers and training in ecology and biodiversity

AdNatura offers high-school and university students, recent graduates and those in the process of retraining the opportunity to find out more about jobs and employers in the ecology and biodiversity sector in France, at a "Carrefour des métiers et des formations", featuring stands, conferences, round tables, workshops and job dating. Training establishments leading to jobs as technicians, engineers and researchers will be represented in all their diversity and complementarity: BTS, Licences Professionnelles, Ecoles d'Ingénieurs, Masters, Ecoles Doctorales...

AdNatura is open to all and free of charge (no registration required, free admission).
