YouTuber Vinz Kanté speaks at the University of Montpellier to address eco-anxiety

On Wednesday, April 2, Vinz Kanté, the YouTuber behind the Limit channel, was invited by the University of Montpellier to present his film “Not Even Afraid: Eco-Anxiety as a Driving Force.”

As part of the ecological transition master plan, the University of Marseille (UM) continues to raise awareness among the university community by screening a documentary film on eco-anxiety and ways to address it. Students and staff attended the screening of “Même pas peur, l’éco-anxiété comme moteur” in the presence of director Vinz Kanté. Through a dialogue between the Vinz of the past—a former radio host and DJ—and the Vinz of the present—an environmental activist—the film explores how eco-anxiety, often perceived as paralyzing, can become a powerful driver of change and positive action.

The audience and the director then had the opportunity to discuss the issues raised in the film that resonated personally with the participants. The evening featured enriching and inspiring discussions, highlighting the importance of questioning our current lifestyles and transforming our fears about environmental change into concrete actions for a sustainable future.
