Innovation in Occitanie: What Strategy Should Montpellier Adopt? 

The University of Montpellier’s next after-work event will take place on Monday, July 8, starting at 6 p.m. at the Jardin des Plantes, with Philippe Augé, President of the University of Montpellier, in attendance. The evening will feature discussions, testimonials, and the sharing of experiences, as well as several roundtable discussions bringing together key stakeholders in the field of innovation. This event will also serve as a hub for various discussions and meetings focused on the University of Montpellier’s innovation and partnership policies, as well as those of its partners.

The full program for the 2024 Innovation After-Work Event

The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with the opening of the networking event by UM President Philippe Augé, followed by a discussion with Philippe Combette, UM Vice President of Partnerships and Innovation, and Anne-Lise Melki, CEO of Biotope. Roundtable discussions moderated by News Tank Education & Research the discussion. Alexandra Prieux, President of Alcediag, will conclude these discussions.

Why host an Innovation After-Work Event at UM?

The University of Montpellier ranks first among French universities in the global ranking of institutions making the greatest efforts to advance science, invent new technologies, and help drive the growth of the global economy (2019 Reuters Ranking). It is also one of five universities in a University Innovation Cluster (PUI). The after-work event is one of the PUI’s initiatives, an annual gathering where researchers, companies, partners, and local authorities come together to discuss innovation, commercialization, partnerships, and entrepreneurship, during which the Innovation Awards are presented to the winners.
