The University of Montpellier honors students as key players in innovation and entrepreneurship at its Afterwork 2025

The University of Montpellier's next innovation afterwork will take place on Tuesday July 8 from 5:30 pm at the Jardin des Plantes orangery, in the presence of Michaël Delafosse, Mayor of Montpellier and President of Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole, Philippe Augé, President of the UM, and Philippe Combette, Vice-president of Partnerships and Innovation at the UM.

The event will feature debates, testimonials and experience-sharing, as well as a round-table discussion bringing together students, doctoral students and key players in innovation. They will share their experiences and highlight the services offered by Montpellier's Pôle Universitaire d'Innovation (PUI), designed to support students in their innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives. The evening will close with the official signing of a partnership agreement, marking a new stage in the University of Montpellier's innovation strategy. The event will also provide an opportunity to meet and exchange views on the innovation and partnership policy pursued by the UM and its partners.

On the program:

  • Starting at 6pm, the afterwork is opened by Philippe Augé, President of the University of Montpellier,
  • Round-table discussion on the Montpellier PUI's support systems,
  • Meeting with Montpellier incubators: Initium, AgroVallée Incubation, CHU's innovation extractor, SATT AxLR's TTM Factory, Montpellier's Business & Innovation Centre
  • Signing of a partnership agreement between the University of Montpellier, SATT AxLR and Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole.
