The University of Montpellier is highlighting students as key players in innovation and entrepreneurship at its Afterwork 2025 event

The next University of Montpellier Innovation After-Work event will take place on Tuesday, July 8, starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Orangery in the Jardin des Plantes, with Michaël Delafosse, Mayor of Montpellier and President of Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole, Philippe Augé, President of the University of Montpellier, and Philippe Combette, Vice President for Partnerships and Innovation at the University of Montpellier.

The event will feature discussions, testimonials, and the sharing of experiences, as well as a roundtable bringing together students, doctoral candidates, and key players in the field of innovation. They will discuss their career paths and highlight the programs offered by the Montpellier University Innovation Hub (PUI), designed to support the University’s students in their innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives. The evening will conclude with the official signing of a partnership agreement, marking a new milestone in the University of Montpellier’s innovation strategy. This moment will also provide an opportunity for networking and discussion regarding the innovation and partnership policy championed by UM and its partners.

On the agenda:

• The event begins at 6 p.m. with the opening remarks at the after-work gathering by Philippe Augé, President of the University of Montpellier,

• Roundtable discussion on support services at the Montpellier University Hospital,
• Meeting with Montpellier-based incubators: Initium, AgroVallée Incubation, the CHU’s innovation accelerator, SATT AxLR’s TTM Factory, and the Montpellier Business & Innovation Centre
• Signing of a partnership agreement between the University of Montpellier, SATT AxLR, and Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole.
