The schedule for the “Days of Action Against Violence Against Women”

This week will begin on Monday, November 21, at the Triolet Campus with an introductory self-defense workshop. The University of Montpellier is offering its female students a free introduction to self-defense. This hands-on course covers topics such as stress management, environmental awareness, and avoidance techniques, and is designed to boost self-confidence. Led by legal and health professionals fromthe NUAGE association in Montpellier, this workshop—consisting of six 1.5-hour sessions—is open exclusively to female students at the University of Montpellier.

The week will continue on Thursday, November 24, with an improvisational theater session from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Aimé Schoenig Student Center in Richter. Through their improvisations, the actors will shed a unique light on certain scenes from our daily lives, from an offbeat perspective—sometimes with humor—always with the goal of prompting us to reflect and helping us combat all forms of violence against women. During this interactive evening, the audience will be invited to submit phrases, words, ideas, or anecdotes on the topic of violence against women. The themes selected at random will be performed by the actors, who will also encourage everyone to participate.
