The University of Montpellier held its 4th “University-Business Forum” at the Triolet campus!
On Thursday, October 19, the University of Montpellier hosted the fourth edition of its “University-Business Forum,” an annual event dedicated to career development. The goal was to support students and graduates in their search for internships or jobs. More than 130 companies, 250 recruiters, and 1,000 students participated in the 4th edition of the event.
The forum was open to all students at the University of Montpellier, from the third year of undergraduate studies through to the doctoral level, as well as UM graduates enrolled in the Faculty of Sciences, the Faculty of Economics, the Faculty of Pharmacy, the IAE, the IPAG, Montpellier Management, STAPS, and Polytech Montpellier. Serving as a key platform for interaction between companies, students, and recruitment professionals, the “University Business Forum” aims to support students and graduates in their transition into the workforce—a top priority for the University of Montpellier. This event is organized annually by the Career Services Office of the SCUIO-IP at the University of Montpellier in collaboration with the Faculty of Sciences, Polytech, the IAE, the Faculty of Pharmacy, the Faculty of Economics, Montpellier Management, the IPAG, STAPS, and the UNESCO ICIREWARD Center.
Talented individuals with diverse backgrounds connect with a wide range of companies and recruitment professionals
The 1,000 registered students, representing fields such as science and technology, management, computer science, marketing, economics, business administration and finance, healthcare, the environment, and public administration, interacted with more than 250 recruiters from 130 companies that participated in the event, offering internships and job opportunities. The students met with the companies during the event held on the Richter Campus on October 19. Advisory booths were also available to students throughout the day. Additionally, they applied for positions via the ResUM platform—the University of Montpellier’s Professional Network—by scheduling video conference interviews during the time slots offered by the companies.
Employment specialists joined the discussion during a roundtable and webinars, including: ANDRH, Hays, Accueil International, APEC, CCI Hérault, Pôle Emploi, and the Observatory for Professional Integration…
A packed schedule
This year, the event featured two panel discussions: “Succeeding in Your Job Interview,” featuring human resources directors, industry experts (APEC, Hays, ANDRH), and graduates from the University of Montpellier; and a panel discussion on disability titled “When and How Should You Discuss Your Disability During the Application Process?” with CAP Emploi and Capgemini Technology Services. Four themed webinars were also offered to students seeking advice.
