The University of Montpellier held its 4th “University-Business Forum” at the Triolet campus!

On Thursday, October 19, the University of Montpellier hosted the 4th edition of its “University-Business Forum,” an annual event dedicated to career development. The goal was to support students and graduates in their search for internships or jobs. More than 130 companies, 250 recruiters, and 1,000 students participated in the fourth edition of the event.

The forum was open to all students at the University of Montpellier, from the third year of a bachelor’s program through the doctoral level, as well asUM graduatesUM in the Faculty of Sciences, the Faculty of Economics, the Faculty of Pharmacy, the IAE, the IPAG, Montpellier Management, STAPS, and Polytech Montpellier. Serving as a key platform for interaction between companies, students, and recruitment professionals, the “University-Business Forum” aims to support students and graduates in their transition into the workforce—a top priority for the University of Montpellier. This event is organized annually by the Career Services Office of the SCUIO-IP at the University of Montpellier in collaboration with the Faculty of Sciences, Polytech, the IAE, the Faculty of Pharmacy, the Faculty of Economics, Montpellier Management, the IPAG, STAPS, and the UNESCO ICIREWARD Center.

Talented individuals with diverse backgrounds connect with a wide range of companies and recruitment professionals

Coming from fields such as science and technology, management, computer science, marketing, economics, business administration and finance, healthcare, the environment, public administration, and more, the 1,000 registered students interacted with more than 250 recruiters from 130 companies that participated in the event, offering internships and job opportunities. The students met with the companies during the event held on the Richter Campus on October 19. Advisory booths were also available to students throughout the day. In addition, they applied for positions via the ResUM platform—the University of Montpellier’s Professional Network—by scheduling video conference interviews during the time slots offered by the companies.


Partners specializing in employment gathered to share insights during a roundtable discussion and webinars, including: ANDRH, Hays, Accueil International, APEC, CCI Hérault, Pôle Emploi, and the Observatoire de l’insertion professionnelle…

A packed schedule

This year, two panel discussions were highlights of the event: “How to Succeed in a Job Interview,” featuring human resources directors, industry experts (APEC, Hays, ANDRH), and graduates from the University of Montpellier; and a panel discussion on disability, “When and How Should You Discuss Your Disability During the Application Process?” featuring CAP Emploi and Capgemini Technology Services. Four themed webinars were also offered to students seeking advice.
