A delegation from Shanghai University visits Montpellier
On Monday, December 4, the University of Montpellier hosted an official visit from a delegation representing the Shanghai University of Medicine and Health Sciences (SUMS) as part of a partnership agreement between the two universities that has been in place since 2017.

Led by Ms. Yongjin Guo, President of the Shanghai UMSSS, the Chinese delegation met with Vincent Lisowski, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, François Pierrot, Vice President of the University of Montpellier in charge of international relations; Céline Delacourt-Gollain, Director of International Relations; Benjamin Nottelet, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy in charge of international relations; and Pierre-Antoine Bonnet, Head of the Master’s program in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Health Products.
Since 2017, students from Shanghai have been coming to Montpellier to study in the Master’s program in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Health Products at the Faculty of Pharmacy or to complete introductory internships in laboratories at the University of Montpellier. This educational partnership also facilitates access to internships in China for French students, while enabling faculty members from Montpellier to teach in certain programs at the IMSSS.
The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss strengthening the existing ties between the University of Montpellier and Shanghai University of Medicine and Health Sciences (SUMSHS), as well as to explore other avenues for future educational collaboration, particularly within the framework of the Master’s program in Nutrition and Food Science, and to consider opportunities to expand this partnership in the field of research.
