Shanghai University delegation visits Montpellier

This Monday, December 4, the University of Montpellier received an official visit from a delegation representing the Shanghai University of Medicine and Health Sciences (UMSSS) as part of a partnership agreement that has existed between the two universities since 2017.

Led by Yongjin Guo, President of UMSSS Shanghai, the Chinese delegation met with Vincent Lisowski, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, François Pierrot, Vice-President of the University of Montpellier in charge of international relations, Céline Delacourt-Gollain, Director of International Relations, Benjamin Nottelet, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy in charge of international relations, and Pierre-Antoine Bonnet, Head of the Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Health Products.

Since 2017, Shanghai students have been coming to study in Montpellier as part of the Faculty of Pharmacy's master's degree in drug sciences and health products, or to carry out discovery internships in laboratories at the University of Montpellier. This educational partnership also facilitates access to internships in China for French students, while enabling Montpellier lecturers to take part in certain IMSSS courses.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the strengthening of existing links between the University of Montpellier and the Shanghai University of Medicine and Health Sciences (UMSSS), as well as other areas of future pedagogical collaboration, notably in the context of the Master's degree in nutrition and food science, and the potential for developing this partnership in the field of research.
