Objective: first job

Job interview simulations, practical workshops, meetings with business leaders, conferences... This fall, UM is supporting its students and alumni on their path to their first job. A priority mission for the university, the professional integration of graduates will soon be the focus of two events at UM.

Transition to Employment Day, October 15

For one day, UM Master's and PhD graduates are invited to return to the university for practical workshops led by employment professionals. Four workshops are available. On the agenda: methods and practical advice for an effective job search.
The workshop program:

  • the resume and cover letter
  • the recruitment interview and new recruitment methods
  • understand and develop your career plan
  • build and mobilize networks

A conference-debate will be held on the same day on the topic: "Steps to take for an effective job search"
Thursday, October 15, from 1:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. at the Aimé Schoenig Student Center, Richter site

This event is organized in partnership with key players in the field: the Association for Executive Employment (APEC), Pôle Emploi, the National Association of Human Resources Directors (ANDRH), MEDEF, the General Confederation of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (CGPME), and the UM Entreprendre Foundation.

University-business meetings, November 5

At the heart of these meetings is the job interview, a necessary step toward obtaining employment. This is not something that can be improvised, and the speakers will shed light on the challenges and pitfalls involved.
Two highlights on the program:

  • Conference-debate on the topic of recruitment, entitled "Different perspectives on job interviews," moderated by journalist Guillaume Mollaret, with the participation of human resources directors, business leaders, recruitment specialists (ANDRH, APEC, MEDEF, Pôle Emploi, recruitment agencies), and former students.
  • Professional interviews with companies specializing in specific sectors of activity, providing an opportunity to practice in real-life conditions and improve performance through individual debriefings (pre-registration required). More than 30 recruiters will be present at this event.

This day is intended for Master's 2 students at the Richter site – Faculties of Economics and AES, IPAG, and ISEM – as well as Master's 2,5th, and6th year health students.
Conference room at the Aimé Schoenig Student Center – Richter campus 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. – The day will end with a cocktail reception.
