Goal: First Job

Mock interviews, hands-on workshops, meetings with business leaders, conferences… This fall,UM its students and alumni on their path to their first job. As a top priority for the university, graduate employment will soon be the focus of two events atUM.

“Transition to Employment” Day, October 15

For one day,UM Master’s 2 graduates and PhDsUM invited to return to the university for hands-on workshops led by career professionals. Four workshops are offered. On the agenda: practical methods and tips for an effective job search.
The workshop schedule:

  • the resume and cover letter
  • Job Interviews and New Recruitment Methods
  • Understanding and Developing Your Career Path
  • build and engage with one's networks

A conference and discussion will be held on the same day on the topic: “Steps to Take for an Effective Job Search”
Thursday, October 15, from 1:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. at the Aimé Schoenig Student Center, Richter Campus

This event is organized in partnership with key stakeholders in the field: the Association for Executive Employment (APEC), Pôle Emploi, the National Association of HR Directors (ANDRH), MEDEF, the General Confederation of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (CGPME), and the UM Foundation.

University-Business Networking Events, November 5

At the heart of these events is the job interview—a necessary step toward landing a job. This is not something that can be improvised, and the speakers will shed light on the challenges and pitfalls involved.
Two highlights on the program:

  • Panel discussion on the topic of recruitment, titled “Different Perspectives on the Job Interview,” moderated by journalist Guillaume Mollaret, with the participation of human resources directors, business leaders, recruitment specialists (ANDRH, APEC, MEDEF, Pôle Emploi, and a recruitment firm), and alumni.
  • Professional interviews with companies specializing in specific industries, designed to help you practice in real-world conditions and improve your performance through individual debriefings (pre-registration required). More than 30 recruiters will be present at this event.

This event is intended for Master’s 2 students at the Richter campus—Faculties of Economics and AES, IPAG, and ISEM—as well as Master’s 2,5th-year, and6th-year health students.
Conference Room at the Aimé Schoenig Student Center – Richter Campus, 1:30 p.m.–6:00 p.m. – A cocktail reception will conclude the day.
