19th edition Primavera

The 19th edition of Primavera is a one-day event, often held on the last Sunday in March, bringing together some sixty nursery exhibitors, as well as lecturers, artists and environmental associations. It's a rendezvous for plant lovers who care about the environment and respect the planet!Present at the inauguration of this event were Thierry Lavabre Bertrand, Director of the Montpellier Jardin des Plantes, Stéphane Jouault, Deputy Mayor of Montpellier in charge of nature in the city, Philippe Augé, President of the University of Montpellier, and Isabelle Laffont, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Montpellier.

This Monday, November 6, 2023, Sophie Béjean, Rectrice de la région académique Occitanie et de l'académie de Montpellier, Marc Sztulman, Conseiller régional et représentant Carole Delga, Présidente de la Région Occitanie / Pyrénées Méditerranée, Claudine Vassas-Mejri, Vice-présidente du Conseil départemental de l'Hérault, Michaël Delafosse, President of Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole and Mayor of Montpellier, and Philippe Augé, President of the University of Montpellier, signed a collective commitment agreement to raise awareness of artificial intelligence among schoolchildren.

Launch of the "Montpellier ville du droit" project

Radio Aviva attended the launch of the "Montpellier Ville du Droit" project. This collaborative project aims to raise awareness of Montpellier's unique legal heritage, its history, its personalities and its places.

In this program, we present interviews recorded by Liliane Dray in the cloister of Montpellier's Faculty of Law, with Mr Guylain Clamour, Dean of Montpellier's Faculty of Law and Political Science, Mr Philippe Augé, President of the University of Montpellier, Mr Maxime Rosier, President of the Montpellier Bar Association, Mr Tristan Gervais de Lafond, First President of the Montpellier Court of Appeal, Mr Sébastien Cote, Deputy Mayor in charge of Population Protection and Public Safety.

Doctoral graduation ceremony at the University of Montpellier

On Monday June 26, 2023, the annual graduation ceremony for doctoral students at the University of Montpellier took place at the Corum in Montpellier. This event, central to the university community, brought together all doctoral students in the Pasteur auditorium before the traditional hat-toss and parade through the streets of Montpellier (from the Corum to the Arc de Triomphe).

Opening at 3pm with a coffee reception in the foyer Pasteur.
Ceremony from 4pm, with official speeches, interdisciplinary prize-giving and doctoral school ceremonies until 6:30pm.

After the graduation ceremony, the traditional hat-tossing ceremony took place on the Corum forecourt. The procession of doctoral students then made its way to the Jardin des Plantes, passing through Place de la Comédie and the Arc de Triomphe.

At the end of the day, from 7.30pm, the "Portraits de docteurs" exhibition gave visitors the chance to meet some of the young doctoral students who have successfully defended their university theses in the 2021-2022 academic year. The exhibition will be shown in the presence of illustrator Elsa Gabet and photographer Gabriel Fradin.
